So it's been almost a year...

Fri Oct 2, 2009, 2:40 AM
Or three days short of an entire year to be precise, since I updated this journal type thing.

Anyway, I can't say that a great deal has happened. I finished my HND, but the PDA course was full so now I'm taking higher biology instead because I was stupid enough to drop it in high school. I'm enjoying it so far, but it feels so weird not studying photography anymore!
I plan on applying to do a degree, or maybe even the PDA again next year though.

I'm still unemployed unfortunately. It feels as though there's nothing going here! And anything that is going either doesn't get back to me or I just don't get it. It's starting to get ridiculously frustrating.

I've actually started thinking about maybe making a blog. Maybe. I haven't decided whether it's a good idea or not yet considering I can hardly be bothered to update this!

Oh, and I just feel the need to say this. Only 4 weeks until Whitby! Eeee!
Well, that's just about everything worth writing about. Take care!

All quiet on the western front...

Sun Oct 5, 2008, 3:48 AM
Well admittedly I haven't been updating my gallery as often as I should, and this journal? Well, that's a whole other story.

Anyway, I started HND photography at Glasgow met just over a month ago and so far it's going rather swimmingly if I say so myself. I'd originally applied for HNC after being told I wouldn't pass my HNC at Motherhell college but lo and behold, I did. So yay, I got in to HND instead!

There should be some new photos up soon. Next weekend I'll be heading down to Leicester to see my boyfriend's band (you can check them out here) play at Gathering of the Clans, so expect some new band photos and possibly some of the English countryside. Just two weeks after that I'll be heading down to Whitby Gothic Weekend which just can't come quick enough! Since the seasons are turning too and the leaves are turning all sorts of pretty colours I hope to get some autumn photos over the next month or so.

Well, that's all for now I guess.

Hellfest.

Tue Jun 24, 2008, 4:57 PM
Just returned from Hellfest last night and I must say, it was amazing. Before I left everyone kept telling me that it was an insanely disorganized festival and about the apparent riots that broke out last year due to the beer running out so I was a little on-edge before leaving, but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised! All-in-all the whole experience was very comfortable; the toilets were cleaned every day, there was a nearby supermarket selling very cheap and good beer, there was actually shade to sit under when it got too hot, it wasn't overcrowded like Wacken last year was and so on.
Only thing I didn't like was the fact that we had to wait in a que for ages to buy these token things in order to not only buy beer but also to buy 7-up and stuff too.

As for the bands, I couldn't pick a favourite. The ones that stood out though were My Dying Bride, NOFX, Impaled Nazarene, Paradise Lost and Apocalyptica. Unfortunately Eluviete were dissapointing, Meyhem didn't put on as good a show as they did in Glasgow but I don't think they are really meant for a festival environment and Venom just sucked compared to the last two times I seen them.

What I am most thankful for though is that we had no travelling fiascos like we did on our way to Wacken last year.

Anyway, off to Tuska on Thusday and I'm bringing my camera with me (not to the actual festival obviously) so expect some photos from around Helsinki.

Wow...

I haven't bothered to update this since December. ..

Expect some new stuff soon. Photographing Alba Gu Brath, Maelstrom and some Aberdonian band tonight at the Soundhaus (oh god I hate that venue so much). Hopefully I should get some nice ones of Helsinki too when I go next month. Might even upload some of my college project stuff.

The college year is almost over, thank Clthulhu, and I managed to get an unconditional offer for HND professional photography and imaging at Glasgow met. Yay. :D

Updates and shizz.

Wed Dec 5, 2007, 2:38 PM
As some of you may have noticed, I've deleted (and am still in the process of deleting) loads of stuff.
Just decided to get rid of the not-so-good photos from my gallery.

Done my first shoot in a studio environment the other day, went pretty well actually. Got two of the shots in my gallery if you'd like to go see them. Doing another one next tuesday aswell, yay!

The weather's been dreadful here recently. Gutted.
I want a real winter, with snow, and frost and the Strathy loch freezing over! Not these crap rainy winters that we've been having the past few years. :(
Damn you climate change!
